[Functional restoration of the injured extremity after fractures of the proximal end of the radius in children].

The clinical material includes 117 children with fractures of the proximal part of the radius. A functional method of treatment was used in 44 children with a hinge-rotary device developed by the authors. A complete restitution of movements in the elbow joint was registered in 84% of the children in contrast to 68% of the children treated by traditional methods. An unsatisfactory result was noted in 1 patient while the traditional method resulted in 10% of unsatisfactory outcomes.
